Last Week of School 

Monday: Students will explore useful, fun websites.

•           1:00 Science Fair begins.

 Tuesday: Bring board games to school.

                  Make sure you wear running shoes for soccer and kickball.

 Wednesday: Bring in your favorite book to share.

                  There will be lots of art related activities too.

•      1:00 “Shh! We’re Writing the Constitution” play presentation.

 Thursday: Colonial Day Centers

 Friday: Autographs of classmates

•      11:00 – 12:00 Lunch in Orpheus Park.

                Bring a favorite dish to share.

• Monday, May 30, is a holiday
•  Tuesday, May 31, is the Botanical Gardens Field trip. We will leave at 9:00 and return at 1:00.
• Monday, June 13. is the 5th grade Science Fair.
• Friday, June 17, is the last day of school.

• Biztown is Wednesday.
•  Volunteers need to be there at 7:30 am. Students will be there at 9:00.
• Everyone needs to take a lunch.

• Turn in permission form and $10.50 for field trip to Aquarium and pier scheduled for Tuesday, March 22.
• Track meet this Tuesday. Students to wear white t-shirts and running shoes.

• A permission form for the March 22 field trip to the Birch Aquarium and pier went home this week. The cost is $10.50 per person. Students will need to take a bag lunch. We will also need parent drivers.
• Parent conferences have been scheduled. Please email me if there is a problem.

• Reading logs are to be turned in every Friday and require a parent signature.
• Book report due Feb. 17
• There will be a small Valentine’s Day party the last half hour of school on Monday, Feb. 14.

• Math 24 is every Tuesday, from 2:30 -3:15, in room 2.
• Reading Counts!, our annual reading challenge program, begins this week. 
• Send in a light-colored t-shirt that can be left at school for use on specials day.

• This Wednesday students will participate in a “Colonial Heritage in a Trunk” presentation by Heritage Tours. This presentation will be at school and the cost is $3.00 per student. Please send in your money by Friday.
• Wednesday is also 5th and 6th grade Family Night. This will be in the auditorium starting at 6:00pm. Students who attend will receive a “No Homework” pass.

• Winter Music Performance is Wednesday at 1:00 and 6:00.
• Thursday is the last day of school for students.
•  Our class won a pizza and ice cream party from the PTA for raising the most money for the Jog-a-thon.  This party will be Thursday at 1:00.
